"Top tips, style, advice, and gossip for all London pooches", Mabel, Jack Russell, (didn't want to say her age)

A pug called Jenny has become an overnight sensation in the US through a YouTube video that shows her pushing a buggy around her home town of Portland, Oregon. Within a day of the video going live Jenny was taking calls from American networks FOX, NBC, ABC and a host of international newspapers. If only fame and fortune were that easy to come by for humans.

Poor Mabel... no less than NINE people have told her she looks fat in the past few weeks. The vet called her 'Fatty' last time he saw her. Oh dear...while she might have over indulged a little over Christmas (as well as being spayed) she is thankfully not dragging her stomach on the ground. Yet. Luckily help is at hand for fat dogs everywhere in the shape of Fit Fur Life, a doggie treadmill that promises to revolutionise your pooch's fitness regime as well as offering 'complete muscle enhancing and toning' and helping with post-op recovery. Just pop the little porker on, choose your setting and watch them burn off those Boneos. And, if a Dragon from the 'Den' throws money at something then it must be good, right?

It is about time that the style bible that is Vogue celebrated the diversity, humour, elegance and character of dogs, and the result is the fabulous 'Dogs in Vogue: A Century of Canine Chic'. From Dorothy Parker and her Pekinese to Paris Hilton and her handbag dogs, the best of the photographs and features provide a fascinating record of society's changing preferences for breeds and the evolving role of dogs in women's lives. Treat yourself and your mutt to the book or spoil a fellow dog lover for a special occasion. Available at most book shops and online at Amazon.

Valentine's Day cards are already stocking the shelves, and at this time of romance, it might be time to start thinking about your hound's love life. Do they have that special 'someone' in their life? Perhaps they are thinking of taking the next step with their soul-mutt and taking a walkies down the aisle? I joke of course. Well, sort of. If you were an American pooch it might well be something you would consider (reverently, of course) complete with wedding dress and tuxedo, ceremony and a glitzy reception. The Snow Rose wedding dress is perfect for this occasion (and a snip at only $1198.00), made from satin, lace, organza, and tulle, this 'dress' will "make your pup look like the perfect princess you know she is." If your dog's style is a little bit more low key, then Puppia's £99.99 Amazing Grace dress might fit the bill. Bargain!
