Egg and Bone

On April 5th 2009 Bone Rangers teamed up with their pals Funky Mutts to host the first ever charity Easter Egg and Bone Hunt and dog show in Kensington Gardens, London. All proceeds from this fun family day went to Bone Rangers' chosen charity the Retired Greyhound Trust and to the Mayhew Animal Home - two extremely worthwhile charities who do wonderful work to help dogs in London and all over the UK.

As well as a fabulously exciting treasure hunt around the park, we were delighted to have a flyball demonstration and workshop from Four Paws racing and some traditional dog competitions including Master and Mutt Look-a-like and Superhero Dog. The day was a huge success with lots of money raised for charity and buckets of fun had along the way.

Established in 1975 and with over 70 branches across the UK, the Retired Greyhound Trust have successfully found homes for almost 40,000 greyhounds. As well as raising vital money to help support the work needed to promote and supervise the adoption process, the RGT also works closely with the greyhound racing industry to ensure that dogs at the end of their careers are given the best possible chance at a happy and healthy life. Please visit their site to find out more about the fabulous work they do www.retiredgreyhounds.co.uk and sign the petition for the RSPCA's ongoing campaign to improve the lives of racing and retired greyhounds here www.greyhoundpetition.org.
